   While Mauna Loa mac nuts are readily available here on the mainland, Hawaiian Host macs are usually only found where they’re made. On my trip to Oahu this fall, I encountered store after store selling big packs of individually wrapped boxes for giving.

   I didn’t want to add to my luggage on the way home, so rather than carry, I went back to my hotel room, logged onto Amazon and ordered Hawaiian Host chocolate covered macs to be shipped to my house.

   Bippity, Boppity, Boo, They arrived home shortly after I did, and I could hand them out. I feel like a hero! They’re shipped from Hawaii, so it’s really not cheating!

   About half the chocolates seemed to be spoiled as though they had been subjected to something — heat? too long a time in the box? — I don’t know what the problem was but the chocolate was light brown, crumbly, and not very tasty. The ones that were dark brown were OK, tasted very good. I ended up throwing half of them away..

   I miss these tremendously. Thank you for getting these on you website. They did come a wee bit late so I couldn’t wrap them up for gifts so maybe in the future, put a longer delivery time from store to door!
