I was thinking this might have the flavor of orange that is found in chocolate covered orange jelly candy sticks. NOT. I wanted that flavor to put in my hot cocoa. This stuff tastes terrible. I have continued to purchase other Amoretti flavors and like all the others received so far except this one. Maybe it is an acquired taste. Not for me. I put some in an Orange Crush (my favorite orange flavor) and it even overpowered and ruined OC! I’ve tried it in a number of different applications and can’t imagine where I will ever use it. But, I’ll keep trying. Mixed with dirty coke flavors (coconut and lime) it still overpowers even with half a squirt. If someone knows what this would be good for I’d sure like to know.

I was very excited to try this syrup after reading the good reviews. When I tried it, I was very disappointed. It doesn’t taste like blood oranges at all. I wanted to make blood orange soda (like the Italian and French kinds) but this does not taste anything like that. Actually, to me, it tastes kind of like soap. Also, it makes the soda water look murky and soapy–it’s not a very good looking drink. I’ve gone back to just mixing soda water with pulp-free orange juice, and buying pre-made blood orange soda from France and Italy. I would not buy this product if you are trying to make a blood orange soda that tastes like the French and Italian sodas because it doesn’t taste like that.

This is my go to drink mixer. 1 Shot of Blood Orange syrup, 1 shot of vodka, simple syrup and club soda. The most delicious drink ever.

Amoretti syrup is great. The orders are processed very quickly. The bottles include the pump. The ingredients list is short and contains no phosphates or sulfites/sulfates and this is a Non-GMO product. I highly recommend Amoretti and have tried many of their flavors.
