My mother made fun of me for buying this since I already have a food processor and I could steam things on the stovetop, but for ease of use this has paid for itself. I make a few batches of food every Sunday and it makes up everything my son eats for the week. Its cheaper than buying store-made food and I can control what he is eating. I can operate it one handed if my son is being fussy and wants to be held. It does not take up much counter space and it is easy to clean. Much better than using a pot to steam and then also the Cuisinart. Like most food processors it works best if you make sure not to overfill it. I usually steam a batch of veggies (squash, sweet potato, broccoli etc), take out the hot veggies in the steamer basket, add some rotisserie chicken from Costco, blend and then add back the veggies, usually with a little water to get it to the right texture. A whole weeks worth of food costs maybe $5 to make whereas Gerber would cost at least $5 a day.

The BEABA blends food MUCH better than the Brezza did, February 23, 2015

I’ve had the BEABA Babycook Pro for about 2 months now. I use it usually 1-2 times/week. Before I purchased the BEABA, I had the Baby Brezza for a few months so I’ve got a bit of experience with another baby food maker and I’m going to do a compare/contrast here.

The BEABA feels much sturdier than the Brezza, especially the bowl part (my Brezza bowl cracked within 2 weeks and I had to return and get a new one). Seems to just have a higher quality make.
The BEABA can make much bigger batches than the Brezza and it’s also much easier to make multiple batches one right after the other with the BEABA than it was with the Brezza.
The BEABA blends food MUCH better than the Brezza did. With the Brezza, no matter how much I steamed and blended, green beans just ended up being really chunky. The BEABA has no problem blending things like that up really smooth.
I have not noticed any build up of minerals or anything else in the steam tank (yet) with the BEABA, but I did within a couple weeks with the Brezza.
The Brezza steamed and blended all in one, but I actually like the fact with the BEABA that you have to stop after the steam cycle to dump the food out of the steam basket into the bowl to blend it, because that allows me to regulate the amount of water in the final blended product. I actually hardly ever used the “steam/blend” feature with the Brezza because I usually stopped the cycle after the steaming to dump out water anyway!
I worried before buying the BEABA that it would be harder to figure out steam times since it’s based off of what level of water you add and not how long you set the timer for (as it is with the Brezza), but that hasn’t been a hassle at all. And because the BEABA just steams until all of the water in the steam chamber is used up, there’s no worry about dumping out excess water from the steam tank once you’re finished as there is with the Brezza.

In conclusion, despite the fact that the Brezza steamed and blended all in one, for my needs, I actually prefer the BEABA. They’re both good products, but I believe the practicality and quality of the BEABA is better than the Brezza.

GREATEST BABY FOOD COOKER, July 21, 2013

I got this for my granddaughter who just turned 7 months. My daughter is making everything home made (same as I did with her) but I did realize that making baby food daily was hard especially when the baby was hungry and the food was still not ready… I researched on line the options and although some where advertised as “most popular” they where not the most practical. I first whet to a retailer and purchased the most popular brand of baby food cooker and to my shock it was the most complicated of them all… So many parts to clean and was not self contained at all. I returned the item after my daughter told me she would rather just make the food the old fashion way, that it was simpler. I returned the cooker for a full refund.

I saw the reviews for the Beaba Babycooker and it seemed wonderful simple but mostly “self contained”. What I mean by self contained is that you can do everything, cook, blend, re-heat everything and in a very short time…. My daughter has had the product for over 1 week and loves it so much so that she got one for her best friend who is expecting her first baby and I got one for my neighbors daughter’s baby shower…

This is the kind of item that is a “must have’ for any new mom, and one that you home on to for the next child…. I recommend it highly and I wish they would have had something like this when I was a young mother as well… The healthiest way to feed your baby is organic home-made, and the Beaba Babycook is the way to go!!!!!
