I bought a lot of these as gifts. The boxes were simple but attractive. The recipients, many who are trying to be more health conscious, appreciated them. They thought the quality of the dried fruit was outstanding.

purchased this to be part of a healthy desert tray for guests. When it arrived I tested it just to be sure and it was really tasty, fresh and moist. All of the fruits were moist and sweet except for 2 or 3 dates which were still good just a little drier than the others. The dried pears were especially good. I did a fair amount of research before I made this purchase and this company and its product had the most consistent positive ratings. I thought I would add mine to help another buyer who was hesitant. I now have had the chance to sample dried fruit I hadn’t tried before. Maybe in the future I will try to buy the same fruits and make my own tray but considering the cost of dried fruit this pre packaged product actually might not be that much worse especially since you get such variety, imagine buying 16 oz bags of peaches, pears, dates, apricots, apples,prunes and then making your treat tray! And my guests LOOOVED the fruit, I actually made them a doggy bag with homemade bread and fresh fruit–no leftovers;(.

We were very disappointed with this fruit tray. Although the tray was nicely arranged and most of the fruit tasted ok, it was all very, very tough. The apricots and peaches were not just dried, but almost jerky-like, the apples were a bit sour-smelling, and the dates were a little stiff. The prunes and pears were good, but overall this was a disappointment. This is the first time we’ve ordered from Golden State Fruit (we ordered from Broadway Basketeers last year), and we will probably go back to BB next time.
