Unlike so many other health food bars, Larabars are actually healthy. Each flavor only contains 3-4 ingredients…all of which are completely natural and easily identifiable. The base of Larabars is always dates…they give them the sweet flavor and texture without added sugar. These chocolate brownie bars also contain cocoa powder, small chocolate chips and nuts (walnuts and almonds). I’ve tried all all of the Larabar flavors and this flavor is my time tested favorite. If you are trying to eat right, but still have a sweet craving now and then, these bars will definitely work…the texture is exactly like a brownie and the taste is very close!

I have been purchasing Larabars for the last couple of years–they are perfect for travel and especially pack well if left in the car etc through cold or heat. I saw the excellent price on Amazon and ordered the Chocolate chocolate chip bars–they are fabulous tasting and so is the price ( 17+$ plus shipping and taxes). YOu won’t find them cheaper anywhere else….

I absolutely adore these bars, Their base is dates, but there isnt a very strong date flavor, it has the consistency of what youd think a date bar is like, the texture in my opinion is pretty smooth, and resembles a brownie pretty well, i love the flavor, very yummy! for a health food bar, it almost makes me feel guilty, its that good. if your looking for the exact doughy sugary rich taste and feel, then you should probably just eat a brownie, because this is a date bar, but one with incredible flavor, it’s filling, satisfying, and provides lots of energy that doesn’t make you crash! these are by far my favorite bar!
