My family lived in Tunisia for more than 40 years and I’ve tried every variety of harissa. The harissa in tubes is most common, but also very hot and not very complex, and, frankly, tastes cheap. There are some harissa pastes in jars that are better and come much closer to homemade harissa, and I use them occasionally, but this is the one I turn to on an almost daily basis. It’s not too hot and the flavor is more complex and subtle than the others. This one is a dry spice, unlike many versions of harissa, but it’s also much easier to control the degree of hotness, which is important for those who are not as used to very spicy dishes. Highly recommended!!! I have re-ordered this one many, many times.

I’m not an expert, but it seems to have the flavor I expected. It’s fine textured, comes in a sturdy tin, and came promptly and well packed.

The package arrived on time and was bundled with such care, you would have thought a precious jewel was in the box! Once the box was opened, the aroma of the Harissa was intoxicating. I love the tin it came in as it will keep the spice extremely fresh. I made chicken that evening and uses just a few pinches in the food, and the flavors were perfect in every way. I will order from this vendor again and order Harissa and may see what else they have.
