   I’ve tried many different types of rice, and I have literally become a rice snob after trying Nishiki once. It’s perfect for use with chopsticks. Please don’t forget to rinse it thoroughly before cooking. Works smoothly in rice cookers and has a perfect balance taste and the right amount of stickiness. Love it.

   I was a little hesitant to give sticky rice another try because for some reason I simply cannot get the texture just right with other rices I’ve tried. This rice was perfect! The bag says it comes pre-washed, but I went ahead and rinsed it first anyway. It took only a quick 30 second rinse for the water to run clear so it had little to no starches on the outside which is a pretty good indicator it was in fact pre-rinsed. Using Alton Brown’s stove top sushi rice recipe worked beautifully with this rice and produced a lovely sticky rice that held together great for sushi without getting gummy even though I had to cool it in a large mixing bowl instead of a traditional wooden bowl. I’m glad I made this purchase and will purchase it again in the future.
