I wanted so much to like this brown basmati rice. When I opened it there was a musty, moldy odor. I decided to cook a batch to see how it turned out. I still smell the odor though the rice itself tastes clean; however, it does not have a nutty fragrance. It just tastes bland. I hate to give a disappointing review because others liked it so well. Maybe I got a bad bag. I am not sure if I want to try another one.

This rice is wonderful and barely needs washing, as it is very clean and not very starchy. I use the setting for “semi-brown rice” on my rice cooker, and follow the directions on the rice bag exactly regarding the ratio of water to rice, and it cooks up beautifully–not sticky at all. I will definitely be reordering this in the future.
