Good, but be very careful — mix can “explode” out of newly opened can!,
On Monday, I called the manufacturer. The customer service rep was very pleasant, and, to my surprise, told me they are aware of this problem! Somehow, too much air gets into some of the cans during manufacturing and, when opened, they sort of explode like mine did. She said it also happens with their balsamic dressing (I can’t imagine what that would be like). I offered to send her the photos I took of the mess, but she said she had already seen lots of photos and there was no need. They are working on it but still don’t have a fix. She told me the mix itself was fine, so that I could use what was still in the can, and she sent me a replacement can and, as a gift “for my trouble,” a small jar of jam.
That was nice of her, but it seems to me that if they are continuing to sell this product knowing of this problem, they should at least warn customers that this may happen. In my case, if the opening had been toward me or if one of our pets had been in the kitchen, it would have been more than very inconvenient.
