Different kind of Kind bars, Variation on a Spicy and Savory theme,
There are five different flavors, but they share the same core ingredients, almonds, pumpkin and hemp seeds, honey, non-GMO glucose, and pea crisps. Different spice combinations and additional ingredients are what differentiate the taste. Variation on a theme is a good way to describe them. Each bar has a spice meter on the back of the wrapper, but personally, I found the spiciness to be in the same ballpark. All five have some level of stickiness, some a little bit more than others (perhaps depending on the temperature too).
All five are 0% cholesterol, 0mg trans fat, 15g carbs (3g fiber, 6g sugars), 10g protein, and a variety of vitamins and minerals.
ROASTED JALAPENO: 230 calories, 16g fat (1.5g saturated), 6% sodium (140mg) sodium. First ingredients in the list: almonds, pumpkin seeds, honey, non GMO glucose, pea crisps and more. It has a 4+ out of 6 on the Spice Meter. This is not as sticky as some of the others. It is my favorite of the group.
HONEY MUSTARD: I like the honey mustard taste, and it is distinctive in this case, so this emerged as my #2 favorite. 230 calories, 16g fat (1.5g sat), 5% 115mg sodium. First ingredients are almonds, honey, pumpkin seeds. It has 4+ on the spice meter. The spiciness has a little bit of a delay factor before it kicks in.
HICKORY SMOKED: this is my favorite smoked flavor. It has 230 calories, 16g fat (1.5g sat), 5% 125mg sodium. First ingredients are almonds, pumpkin seeds, honey, etc. It has 1 out of 6 on the Spice Meter, and in this case, my taste buds agree, this is probably the least spicy of the group.
THAI SWEET CHILI: 230g calories, 16g fat (1.5g sat), 15g carbs (3g fiber, 6g sugars), 5% 125mg sodium. First ingredients: almonds, honey, nonGMO glucose, pumpkin seeds, etc. It is at the halfway point of the Spice Meter. As the name suggests, it has hints of thai flavor. Its spiciness is slightly different from the group, but still falls under the same umbrella.
HONEY SMOKED: 230 cal, 16g fat (1.5g sat), 5% 120mg sodium. First ingredients: almonds, pumpkin seeds, honey, non-GMO glucose, pea crisps, etc. Not as sticky as some others. There are hints of smoked flavor but personally I prefer the Hickory for the smoked taste. Its spice meter is 2 out of 6, but to me, it tastes similar to others in terms of spiciness. This is perhaps a little bit more dry than the others. This is my least favorite of the group.

I’m glad I was only sent one bar because I would have become addicted to these!,
I enjoyed very much this morning the sample I was sent as a breakfast replacement bar with a cup of tea and I am completely satisfied and energized with its dense nutrition. Furthermore the bar is not too spicy; nor is it too sweet. Unlike so many nutrition bars which are more like candy bars, Strong & Kind is the perfect balance of savory and sweet – almonds, pumpkin seeds, honey, jalapeno, onion, garlic and sea salt. (There are other ingredients such as hemp seeds that I was not able to discern).
I am a vegan of several decades and as a rule do not partake of honey but I made an exception with this sample. While Strong & Kind does not claim to be vegan, it is non-gmo, gluten free, low glycemic, whey-free and soy-free. I also want to confirm for those who care that this food product is made in the USA.
The honey is the only reason why I will not be purchasing this nutrition bar for myself in the future. But that does not stop me from recommending this delicious and nutritious protein bar to non-vegans and other chili-heads.

I’m a fan- healthy + good tasting,
I was very pleased by the taste. They do sort of have a crunchy and chewy consistency. I liked buying the variety pack so that I could sample different kinds. They were all really good and I enjoyed the flavors. I am trying to lose weight and had one of these for lunch just to test the length of time I would feel satisfied eating them and I lasted four hours until I was hungry again, which is pretty good for a granola bar as most granola bars only last me an hour or two until I am hungry again. I enjoyed them and will be buying them again.
