Manufactured in a Facility with Peanuts and Tree Nuts, August 28, 2014

The Good Bean’s web site clearly states that these are manufactured in a facility that processes peanuts and tree nuts. They state that they use “good manufacturing practices” to clean equipment and segregate allergens. However, if like me, you have a child or you yourself are severely allergic, it may be best to stay away from these. I just think that the label is a bit deceiving stating “no-nut”, and I don’t want anyone to spend there money on these only to find out they cannot eat them. Check their web site before ordering–they do explain what their definition of “good manufacturing practices” are, so you can use your best judgement before purchasing.

It’s not easy to find gluten-free, nut-free snacks. I initially bought a package of the cinnamon Good Beans in the store and really liked them. When I saw these chocolate berry bars here I immediately ordered them. I love them. They don’t taste like chickpeas at all. They taste like chocolate and berries. They are delicious!

A wonderful tasty and good-for-you bar that I can highly recommend. It doesn’t entirely rival a candy bar, of course, but it is very tasty, and you’d never know you were eating beans!!! Good job!!
