These are kosher, gluten-free, and non-GMO. They’re vegetarian but not vegan (contain honey). These have tree nuts (almonds) and are made in a facility that uses peanuts, tree nuts, soy, sesame seeds, and dairy, so watch out if you have allergies.
Since these are mostly almond bars, I was surprised that the fat content is lower than with some of the other KIND bars. Total fat is 15 grams and saturated fat is 3 grams. Sugar is relatively low for a bar of this type (5 grams) and the protein (6 grams) and fiber (7 grams) levels are excellent. Of course these are also high in all the vitamins and minerals you’d expect from nuts (iron, vitamin E, B2, phosphorus, magnesium, manganese).
In the end, it’s the texture that’s doing these in for me. They’re just too hard to chew. The nutrition is better than with some of the other varieties, the flavor is decent (and you’ll like it more if you like coffee), the chocolate doesn’t crumble.
