    Good Option for Pie Crust, December 4, 2013

    This is a great flour (in the gluten free world) for baking. I’ve tried every flour available and while I still use Pamela’s and Trader Joes for some things, this one yields the best pie crusts. For pie crust, I add two tablespoons of arrowroot flour to my single crust recipe to make it lighter…it is too heavy otherwise. Pie crust is probably one of the most difficult gluten free challenges because many gluten free flours crumble and can’t hold the pie. I’ve made several pie crusts with it now (adding a bit of arrowroot) and they’ve all turned out perfectly.

    My wife makes banana bread, chocolate chip cookies and pancakes with this flour because she was diagnosed with Celiacs. She has used other flour in the past but this stuff is the best. Cannot tell the difference between regular flour and this.

    I give this a 5 star rating on many fronts, first of all the taste delivery in recipes is great you would be hard pressed to notice a taste difference or a difference in the replacement measurement to normal flour. Their 1 to 1 recommendation is right.

    Beyond the taste delivery for those needing gluten free products you will find that the Omega levels in the product are extremely high as well so a great ingredient for baking and high quality in nutrition.
